Who Are We?
Two Sides of The Same Coin is a South Dakota non-profit (501C3 status) was started by Mary Rose Redlin, a native of Watertown who was a UN volunteer in Uganda. Her experience working in private sector development was the foundation to build a holistic project, one that would give women not only the skills to run a business but also capital to get the business off the ground.
Why we are different
Follow-up. We don't just train and then pull out, we work with the women monitoring their businesses and following up on their progress. Mentors are selected and work with the new graduates throughout the year. Additional training is offered and friendships and networking opportunities are conducting throughout the year.
WO/MEN SUPPORTING WOMEN
The month of August is a busy one for Two Sides of the Same Coin. We have started a second training in Kasese this month, making it two trainings we have conducted since forming Two Sides of the Same Coin, Rwenzori. Not bad for just starting!
We are excited to announce a fundraiser conducted by our friends from the TNL Farmers Market, Two Old Broads. If you don't know Two Old Broads, your missing out! Follow them on Facebook to join the raffle benefitting Two Sides, and order some goodies while you're there!
